Supply & Fit: The Aircraft Factory

We were honoured to be invited to Supply and Fit the flooring for the Aircraft Factory, a converted factory transformed into spacious and modern offices with a warehouse feel.

Based in the bustling business area of Hammersmith, the Aircraft factory is defined by its adherence to the ‘coffee culture’ contemporary working environment. It houses an on-site coffee bar and several break-out areas, where staff can relax and take time out to recharge.

To complement this contemporary working environment the client selected ‘Frost’, a natural and warm-coloured oak which reflects the feel of the building, and is enhanced by the abundance of natural light and open working space.

Frost inspires a feeling of simplicity and creates an aura of calm – perfect for a productive working environment. Design meets practicality with Frost, a multi-functional flooring choice popular in offices and homes alike, as it copes with high traffic whilst looking like new.

The Reclaimed Flooring Company supplied the project with 4,000 sq metres of wide plank oak flooring, which originates as European Mountain Oak. The oak trees used for frost grow slowly in the mountainous areas of Europe where there is little water, which results in the tight grain of the wood. Frost was the perfect solution for a project such as this.
